Through KK's approach to yoga, clients can relieve stress, sharpen focus and strengthen their bodies to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
In 1996, KK Clivio came to yoga in an effort to rehabilitate an injury she sustained as a competitive outrigger canoe paddler in Hawaii. During the course of her recovery, she not only regained agility and healed, but cultivated a practice, discovered a passion, and, later -- a vocation.
Keenly aware that traditions are not inherited but learned, KK spent the next seventeen years devotedly deepening her understanding of yoga. As part of this effort, she traveled to far reaches of the world and studied with luminous teachers including Bikram, Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, John Friend and Shri K. Pattabhi Jois in India. Her fascination with the human form and how that connects to spirit in the practice led her to deep anatomy studies with cadaver guru, Gil Hedly.
"These teachings have transformed my life," says KK, "and I want to share them in a very heartfelt way with each individual student."
Working one-on-one with KK in private sessions encourages clients to gain to improve their skills. She tailors every session to meet specific client needs. Whether to heal an injury, enhance concentration or improve a golf game, each client can accomplish a measurable goal.
